Boulder AI wins audience choice award at Vision Tank competition

Boulder AI won the audience choice award this week at the annual Vision Tank startup pitch competition, according to a news release from competition organizer Embedded Vision Alliance.

The product pitched by Boulder AI was a waterproof camera that runs artificial intelligence at the image source.

Illinois-based VirtuSense Technologies won the judges' award for an AI product that identifies people who are at risk of falls and injuries.

"This year, we had a strong field of more than 25 startup companies enter the Vision Tank competition, which reflects the growing number of new product ideas being fueled by computer vision, AI and machine learning," Embedded Vision Alliance founder Jeff Bier said in a statement. "VirtuSense Technologies and Boulder AI clearly stood out for their technical innovation, as well as excellence in their business plans, teams and business opportunities."
